Château de l'Hyvernière was completely destroyed by fire during the revolution. It was then rebuilt on its own ruins before changing hands for the first time. Its stones and land were sold shortly after the Second World War. Today, it is a small estate in the Muscadet Sèvre & Maine sur lies appellation, respectful of regional traditions. Château de l'Hyvernière has a very attractive wine storehouse, housed in one of the estate's outbuildings. As is traditional in the Nantes region, the property has around twenty underground vats, allowing for optimal working conditions during vinification and thermal inertia that facilitates ageing.
