Climens is renowned above all for the elegance of its wines, but also for its consistent excellence: even in "lesser" vintages, the wines produced are magical.The preservation and expression of this incomparable terroir have been maintained over the centuries within a family setting. The bold decision to switch to biodynamic farming, taken in 2010 by Bérénice Lurton and implemented by a passionate team, is part of this unwavering commitment. Château Climens is now the only Premier Cru Classé in Bordeaux to be certified biodynamic.The particular grace of Climens, characterised by tension and minerality, is accompanied by an extraordinary aromatic palette combining flowers, fruit, spices and often a hint of eucalyptus or minty freshness. In its youth, citrus fruits (grapefruit, lemon, citron), fruit and white flowers dominate, echoing the wine's fairly pale colour. Regardless of the vintage, the wines age gently, their structure becoming increasingly complex and subtle, their colour turning more amber. Each vintage has its own personality but possesses that harmonious blend of sweetness and freshness that gives Climens its inimitable charm that stands the test of time.
