Brothers Charles-Henry and Emmanuel Fourny took over from their father in 1993 and are the fifth generation of winemakers at this small Maison de Vertus. Close-knit and complementary, as they like to point out, they produce unadorned, fresh, charming champagnes that reflect the complexity of the terroirs from which they come. Charles-Henry manages the estate, assisted by their mother, Madame Fourny. Emmanuel is the estate's oenologist, managing everything related to the vines and wine. While Chardonnay dominates the estate, Pinot Noir is also very present, with a large proportion vinified in oak barrels. Veuve Fourny is a reliable and essential destination for lovers of precise and authentic champagnes in search of excellence. In August 2020, the estate was certified High Environmental Value Level 3 for its work in virtuous agriculture.
