Winegrowers from father to son for four generations, the members of the Hœrter family have acquired expertise born of a love of the land and the vines. The founder, Joseph, started out working a small area of vines and sold his entire harvest by the kilo. Maurice began selling bottles of Champagne . It was Michel, his son, who took over the business and developed sales and the various vintages with the help of his wife, Claudie. Today, Jean Philippe, the great-grandson, is one of these passionate winegrowers. He continues to develop the Champagne Michel Hœrter house and produces the first "manipulant" vintages alongside his wife Valérie.
