Leclere-Pointillart is a family business built on the work of four generations of passionate winegrowers. It all began with the great-grandfather, Jules, who started cultivating a few plots of land on the slopes of Ecueil, a village classified as Premier Cru located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, the capital of champagne . Four generations later, it is Guillaume Leclere who cultivates this same land. In keeping with tradition, he works the land to produce our champagne according to the expertise passed down through the generations, which has earned our champagne its reputation for being refined, fresh and elegant. The estate covers nine hectares spread across seven different villages. With passion, the Leclere-Pointillart house cultivates a vineyard composed of 80% Pinot Noir , 15% Chardonnay, and 5% Pinot Meunier on clay-limestone soils. The vines are 35 years old on average, with the oldest being up to 65 years old. Mindful of the environment, they cultivate their vines using sustainable viticulture methods, without the use of insecticides, and with respect.
