Based in Mardeuil, Beaumont de Crayères was created in 1955 by a group of winegrowers in the heart of the Champagne region. This cooperative exploits about 85 hectares of vines on an exceptional terroir, on the hillsides of Epernay. The vines benefit from an ideal exposure to the sun's rays and are rooted in a chalky subsoil, characteristic of the best Champagne terroirs. Guided by the desire to pass on a unique heritage and respect for the environment, the winegrowers of this small-scale house have always aspired to create a great Champagne brand with an authentic soul.

Among the identifying marks of Champagne Beaumont des Crayères is the demand for quality. A requirement that is felt in the vintages. Today, in addition to a consistent quality, this cooperative is successful throughout the world thanks to its different ranges of champagnes:
Different types of champagnes are offered such as brut, extra-brut or demi-sec. In addition, this cooperative produces Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs champagnes. It should be noted that the winegrowers of Champagne Beaumont des Crayères only use the "cœur de cuvée", the highest quality juices, for the elaboration of their vintage champagnes and their prestige cuvees.
The Grande Réserve is one of the emblematic cuvées of this winegrowers' house. Thanks to its quality, this brut champagne has been awarded numerous distinctions (Silver Medal Drink Business Champagne Master 2020, Gold Medal Magazine Terre de Vins 2021 or Gold Medal Prix Plaisir Bettane & Desseauve).
Elegant, authentic and fruity, this cuvée has a light golden colour with fine sparkling bubbles. The nose is marked by fruity aromas of pear and grapefruit with hints of brioche and gunflint. Balance, liveliness and freshness are felt with fruity aromas in the mouth.
Since the creation of Champagne Beaumont des Crayères, the spirit of independence, the attachment to the terroir and the demand for quality are the basis of the work of this group of winegrowers. This reinforces their commitment to a demanding culture, based on the principles of sustainable viticulture, allowing them to obtain the best grapes. Today, the more than 200 associated winegrowers carry out a demanding work to take care of the Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines. Pruning, harvesting or trellising, most of the operations are carried out by hand to respect a unique heritage.
In addition to a meticulous cultivation of the grapes, the winegrowers also pay particular attention to the selection, notably with the use of an ultra-modern grape-picking machine. Rigorous care is also taken in the vinification and blending of the vintages. Champagne Beaumont des Crayères advocates a separate vinification, allowing a wide range of wines to be blended.
The champagnes of the Beaumont des Crayères House owe their unique character to a very long ageing process in the cellars. Indeed, the non-vintage Bruts are aged for two to four years, while the vintage wines are aged for five years. The cuvée de prestige remains in the cellar for ten years. This very long ageing period gives the house champagnes a remarkable effervescence and aromas of evolution.
Finally, the elaboration of the cuvées from this cooperative is finalised with the disgorging and the dosage. To perfect the style of each champagne, the choice of the liqueur wine and the dose added vary according to the cuvées.
Thanks to this constant search for quality, the Champagne Beaumont des Crayères cuvées are now internationally renowned. The champagnes produced by this winegrowers' cooperative have been noticed by many professionals and are regularly awarded medals. The range of champagnes of this cooperative is so appreciated that it is sold in France and abroad, as well as in the prestigious champagne bars as well as on the menu of the best gastronomic restaurants.
In addition, Champagne Beaumont des Crayères received ISO 22000 certification in 2014. This certification testifies to the recognition of a unique know-how, the traceability of the house's vintages and its commitment to the preservation of its terroir.
