The Champagnes of the Alfred Gratien house are hand-made, a guarantee of quality and uniqueness. For more than a century and a half, Alfred Gratien Champagne has remained in the family and perpetuates the know-how of its founder. The nobility of wood is at the heart of the origins of the house, the vinification in oak is done since its origins and today Alfred Gratien is the only Champagne House with Krug whose wines are all aged in barrels. Cellar masters from father to son for four generations, this is the mark of the house. Gaston Jaeger, the first of the lineage, was entrusted with the keys in 1905. In 2007 Nicolas, his great grandson, became cellar master at Champagne Alfred Gratien in Epernay. He embodies the living memory of the Alfred Gratien house with its great Champagnes.
