The descendant of a family of four generations of winegrowers, Yves Cuilleron did not seem destined to succeed them. A student of general mechanics, nevertheless passionate about wine, he learned that his uncle, who was managing the family estate at the time, was about to sell, for lack of a successor. Yves reacted immediately.
In 1987, after training and several internships, he took over the estate. He enlarged it, replanted new vines, rented others, and built a large cellar in Verlieu. Today, the property comprises 30 hectares spread over the Condrieu, St-Joseph, Côte-Rôtie and Vin de pays Rhodanien appellations.
The wines are just like the householder. They have character, richness and finesse, they are generous and improve with age. Yves Cuilleron is one of the greatest winegrowers of this valley of a thousand colours. And his wines are indispensable to any wine lover wishing not only to develop his knowledge but above all to build a cellar worthy of the name!
