Bodegas y Viñedos Ponce is located in Villanueva de la Jara (Cuenca) and produces quality red and white wines under the Manchuela designation of origin. This family-run winery has succeeded in giving the small Manchuela appellation a considerable and well-deserved place on the international scene. The estate was founded in 2005 by oenologist Juan Antonio Ponce, who is now assisted by his brother and father. Juan Antonio Ponce is at the head of this family-run winery. He previously worked at the Cooperativa de Iniesta and then at the Compañía de Vinos Telmo Rodríguez, where he made wines in various regions of Spain . The Bodega Ponce vineyard covers 35 hectares of vines, with an average age of 50 years. The majority of the estate's grape varieties are Bobal, Moravia Agria and Albillo. The Ponce family cultivates its land biodynamically in order to preserve the rich terroir from which it benefits. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified in the traditional way. The wines produced are of the Manchuela appellation. Bodega Ponce offers a range of vibrant, expressive wines. The critics have been unstinting in their praise.
