The history of the company begins in this winery located in Haro in the Barrio de la Estación dating from 1879. Near the railway line that for a time reached the inside of the cellar in order to easily transport the wine in barrels and more late in bottle. CVNE controls approximately 545 hectares located in the Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa subzones. The vineyards of Rioja Alta, where the grapes for the wines of this winery come from, are characterized by clayey - limestone, clay - ferrous and alluvial soils and a predominantly Atlantic climate. In this cellar, harmony, tradition, quality and innovation come together. In 1940, Cune was a pioneer with the construction of the first concrete fermentation warehouse in Spain , in the 1980s it was the first non-aggressive vinification warehouse in Spain, that is to say to work only by gravity.
