Grant Burge is a household name in Australia . Its history began in 1855 when John Burge left England with his wife and children to settle in the Barossa Valley. 5 generations of Grants succeeded each other at the head of this agricultural operation long devoted to mixed farming. Grant Burge, 5th of the name, did a lot from the 1980s to consolidate the notoriety of the estate and refine the style of his wines. He was a pioneer in particular in the preservation of old vines, long devoted to uprooting. Today, as the 6th generation is set to take over, Grant Burge is a well-established mid-sized estate, very popular in Barossa, one of Australia's most beautiful wine regions, known among other things for its very old Syrahs.
