A renowned estate in Sardinia, Argiolas has been carrying on ‘the dream of a winery drawing its strength from tradition’ for three generations. Founded in 1906 by Antonio Argiolas in the Parteolla region, some 20 kilometres from Cagliari in the south of the island, the estate is now run by his grandchildren Valentina, Francesca and Antonio. The estate spans the small municipality of Serdiana, and its five vineyards, acquired over the years, offer a wide range of terroirs and microclimates. Located in the villages of Sibiola (where the indigenous Nuragus variety is grown, in particular), Solinas (the vineyard closest to the sea), Bingias Becias (old vines particularly suited to the production of refined whites), in the hills of Trexanta (with high-altitude clay-limestone soils, the source of the estate’s Vermentino and fresh, elegant reds), the vineyards, cultivated responsibly, preserve biodiversity. Combining tradition and innovation, the vineyards—sometimes even left to grow wild—favour indigenous grape varieties to produce a superb range of wines, including IGT and DOC reds, rosés, whites and sparkling wines . Characterised by their quality, balance and elegance, these unique and distinctive wines reflect the Argiolas family’s passion for the land of Sardinia.
