The Anne de Joyeuse winery was founded in 1929 and now comprises 470 winegrowers. It owes its name to the Duke of Joyeuse, to whom King Henry III granted the seigneury of Limoux in the 16th century. Specialising in the production of AOC Limoux wines, it stands out for the high quality of its red Limoux wines (which are rarer, with only 3,200 hectolitres produced per year for the entire appellation), as well as its white wines. Anne de Joyeuse's vineyard is located at the meeting point of four major climatic zones and seven types of soil: oceanic, Mediterranean, Autan terroir and Haute Vallée terroir. This ideal geographical location is a real asset for producing high-quality, unique wines.
