Alira is an 80 hectare wine estate, located in the sunny region of Dobrogea, in the South East of Romania. The name Alira is a mix between the names of the localities Aliman and Rasova where the vineyards are located and where the wine is born, on the banks of the Danube. It is a special place, where nature works for the benefit of man and where all that was missing was the passion and talent to make a legendary wine. The Aliman vines overlook the banks of the Old Danube and benefit from fertile soil and an ideal level of rainfall. Merlot , Cabernet Sauvignon but also native grape varieties are cultivated to give a complete range, from wine for everyday consumption to great wine, including vegan wines. Guided by respect for nature, quality at the expense of quantity, the team is keen to offer a top-of-the-range experience to each taster.
