Musigny AOC
In the heart of the Côte de Nuits, Musigny is located above the Grand Cru Clos de Vougeot between the Premier Cru Les Amoureuses and the Grand Cru Échézeaux. Musigny AOC is a Grand Cru of the Chambolle-Musigny appellation which covers an area of more than 10 hectares. Its location, on the slope of the Combe de Chambolle, is favourable to the cultivation of Pinot Noir. Full-bodied and generous white wines, made from Chardonnay, are also produced on a little more than half a hectare. This Côte de Nuits appellation produces wines in small quantities, their rarity adding to their exceptional character. The white wines are flamboyant and reveal aromas of violets and almonds. The red wines are purple in colour with a bouquet of blackcurrant, rosehip and raspberry. With their unique character, the white wines of Musigny are an exception among the Grands Crus of the Côte de Nuits, which remain mainly great red wines.
