Latricières Chambertin AOC
A vineyard of the Côte de Nuits

Located in the vineyards of the Côtes Nuits in the Côte-d'Or, the northernmost wine region of Burgundy, Latricières Chambertin produces only red wine, but what a red! Based on Pinot Noir, this Grand Cru expresses an inimitable perfume. It is part of the mythical family of the Grands Crus de Chambertin, which are close in taste to the AOC. It is sometimes difficult to tell them apart, but Latricières Chambertin is the more powerful. It perhaps requires more time in the cellar than the others to blossom in the bottle. Combining the delicacy and robustness of the great Burgundy wines, this wine is a pure marvel!

LATRICIÈRES CHAMBERTIN AOC

THE EXCELLENCE OF THE GREAT WINES OF BURGUNDY

To the south of the Gevrey Chambertin area, towards Morey Saint-Denis, the small vineyard of Latricières Chambertin (7 hectares) is implanted on a hard subsoil, with rare soil. The name of the appellation derives from this geological feature: first used in 1508, "latricière" refers to a thin, unfertile soil. Only the vine does well here. The appellation illustrates very well the particularity of the Grands Crus of Burgundy: small surface area, but great wine nonetheless!

ORGANIC AND BIODYNAMIC, A SECOND NATURE!

Although not certified, the Pinot Noir is grown organically or biodynamically, as are most of the vineyards in the prestigious surrounding appellations. Green harvesting, by hand, is increasingly practised in this appellation, an operation carried out with the aim of regulating yields and above all increasing the quality of the remaining grapes. This important detail helps the wines, which are already based on precise plot work, to progress.

Similar seach terms : Latriciere, latrissière
