La Grande-Rue AOC

The Grande-Rue vineyard is located on a narrow strip of land in the commune of Vosne-Romanée, between the Grand Cru La Tâche and the Grands Crus Romanée. Its appellation area covers a small area of about 1.5 hectares between Échezeaux and Nuits-Saint-Georges at an altitude of between 250 and 290 metres. Produced only as a red wine, the wines of this Grand Cru are distinguished by an exceptionally velvety and unctuous texture but also by very present tannins. This wine has a flamboyant colour and is very elegant, subtly expressing all the complexity of Pinot Noir. It is one of those legendary and exceptional wines, rare to find. This Grand Cru of Burgundy is a monopoly of Domaine François Lamarche.
