Chapelle-Chambertin AOC

Grand Cru of the Côte de Nuits in the Côte-d'Or, the Chapelle-Chambertin AOC owes its name to the chapel of Notre-Dame de Bèze built in the 12th century. Today, the appellation is shared between twelve owners on about twenty parcels. On a limestone and clay soil, Chapelle-Chambertin expresses itself through exclusively red wines made from Pinot Noir. They preserve the exceptional aromatic characteristics of the red wines produced on the mythical hillsides of the Côte de Nuits. We find aromas of small red fruits and spices, with floral notes, moss and undergrowth. On the palate, power and elegance give a sumptuous wine destined to be kept for at least 10 years. It is one of the 9 Grands Crus of the Gevrey-Chambertin commune.

THE MYTHICAL HILLSIDES OF THE CÔTE DE NUITS

The Côte de Nuits is the kingdom of Grands Crus and Pinot Noir! The vines are nestled on a long slope at an altitude ranging from 240 to 280 meters with a beautiful exposure to the east. The climate is temperate with a slight continental tendency. The soil consists of gravelly rocks on the highest part of the vineyard and clay rocks on the slopes. The wines produced on these mythical slopes are of exceptional quality, worthy of the greatest wines of Burgundy.
