R de Ruinart, the primary expression of the "Ruinart Taste". Let yourself be carried away by its freshness and balance.
The House's signature cuvée, R de Ruinart, is all about freshness and balance.
With its brilliant, clear yellow colour with golden highlights, its lively, fine bubbles forming a cordon with a beautiful effervescence, this exceptional brut Champagne invites the senses to celebrate. It is fresh, balanced and fleshy.
The first nose is fine, fresh and fruity, with notes of white fruits (pear, Reinette apple), apricot as well as hazelnuts and fresh almonds. Some floral and spicy notes add an extra layer of complexity. The second nose reveals a beautiful olfactory intensity, on a more brioche and biscuity background.
Perfectly balanced, the palate is supple and smooth. A frank attack on the palate, a beautiful liveliness is expressed in persistent aromas of ripe yellow stone fruits (mirabelle plum, greengage and nectarine). A well-integrated dosage gives way to the characteristic freshness of Chardonnay, which is very present in the blend. A beautiful roundness envelops the palate and extends into a long fresh finish.
The result of a subtle blend of wines made from Pinot Noir (57%), Chardonnay (40%) and Pinot Meunier (3%), this Champagne reveals all its richness as an aperitif or with refined dishes based on fish, shellfish and crustaceans; this opens the door to great gastronomic combinations: poached oysters, scallops à la plancha, sole meunière, tender poultry stuffed with dried fruit. It can also accompany local cheeses with a short maturing period, such as a Chaource or a creamy Langres. Don't miss the opportunity to discover a Champagne that is frank and full of character. A dashing wine, this excellent Champagne brut is a great way to learn about the style of the House of Ruinart.
The oldest Champagne House since 1729 has always had the culture of excellence as a priority. A culture conveyed by the fundamental values of authenticity, quality and refinement. Now an aesthete throughout the world, the house stands out for its elegant style. It has never ceased to consolidate the excellence of its wines, recognisable among thousands thanks to their distinctive bottle shape.
Secretly matured in the intimacy of underground chalk pits, each cuvée completes its slow maturation process sheltered in these majestic subsoils, ensuring perfect ageing conditions, temperature and humidity. 8 kilometres of pits where the treasure of age-old know-how lies, associating the name of Ruinart with one of the best Champagnes in the world.
Although Dom Thierry Ruinart foresaw that his family would become famous for producing the "sparkling wine" of the time, which would later be called "Champagne", he had no idea of the extent to which it would become a leader in the wine trade. Nearly three centuries later, the house still bears his name, embodying the French art of living throughout the world.
