PoULSARD

Black grape variety from French Jura

Poulsard

Also called Ploussard

A black grape variety from Jura wine region in France. Quite rare as a varietal wine, Poulsard is often blended with Pinot Noir and Trousseau. It has very thin skins and therefore gives wines with pale colour. It could be sometimes mistaken to a rosé. Poulsard gives light red wines with delicate aromas of red fruits and floral notes.
