Saint-Véran AOC
Saint-Véran is the Burgundy's southernmost appellation located in Mâconnais. Due to its southerly location, the climate is slightly warmer than in most parts of Burgundy. Only white wine from Chardonnay is produced. In their youth, the wines have floral aromas and notes of white stone fruit, developing into more honeyed, nutty aromas with age. The best examples can also show some mineral notes. The Saint-Véran wines go for example very well with seafood or mushroom risotto.
