White wines with a unique character !
Saint-Péray is the southernmost appellation of the northern Rhône Valley located on the right bank of the Rhône river. This small appellation produces only still and sparkling white wines based on the grape varieties Marsanne and Roussanne. The mineral richness of the granitic soils as well as the local microclimate, which is cooler and more airy than in the neighbouring appellations, give Saint-Péray wines their unique character. The wines of Saint-Péray are appreciated for their fine aromas of white flowers and more variable notes of honey, almonds and toast when matured. They tend to be ample but fresh with more mineral notes than the whites from the surrounding appellations. Saint-Péray whites pair well with seafood, creamy fish or tender veal.
