Fleurie AOC

Fleurie is one of the ten Cru Beaujolais. The vines are planted on granite soil. Only red wines made of Gamay are produced. These wines are some of the most highly regarded in the Beaujolais region. They are elegant, smooth and silky and they show red fruit aromas together with distinctive floral notes, hence the name. Enventhough the appellation gets its name from a Roman general, Floricum and not from the floral notes. Fleurie wines are great match with roasted pork or beef raviolis. Why not try it with grilled tuna as well!
