Excellent and very good value for money. Domaine to discover. Nice balance of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. In the mouth, we find a beautiful Moulis, power, a very rich wine, but which does not yet fully open up with slightly astringent tannins. more reviews

The most Saint-Julien of Moulis!!
Since the acquisition of the property by the Barton family, we find the trademark velvety and sweet style of wines of the successful family. In the spirit of the Léoville-Barton wines, the delicacy and freshness of the fruit are refined. This tender, charming and attractive wine with a beautiful expression of fruit and a sweet mouth that extends to a silky finish... Excellent value for money!

CHÂTEAU MAUVESIN-BARTON

The vines of Château Mauvesin Barton are located in the communal appellation of Moulis, halfway between Margaux and Saint-Julien. The smallest appellation in the Médoc with 610 hectares, it nevertheless concentrates exceptional terroirs and skilfully juggles its outcrops of pure gravel, its rich clay soils and its limestone subsoils. The Viscount and Viscountess Alain de Baritault du Carpia, heirs of the Le Blanc de Mauvesin, ceded the property on August 4, 2011 to Lilian and Michel Barton-Sartorius. For eight generations, the Barton family has owned the Classified Growths Langoa Barton and Léoville Barton located in the Saint-Julien appellation.
