Grenache blanc

One of the emblematic varieties of Châteauneuf-du-Pape whites

Grenache Blanc

Also known as Garnacha Blanca, Garnatxa Blanca

It is white mutation of Grenache grape variety and originally from northern Spain, where it is called Garnacha Blanca. However it is more known from the Rhone Valley blends, especially from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It is also an important component in the sweet white fortified VDN wines, such as Rivesaltes. Often found as a blend, but some single variety wines are also produced. Grenache Blanc gives rich and generous wines with green apple and stone fruit aromas.
