RUBICON 2019 - INGLENOOK

Production of Rubicon, Inglenook's first red wine, began in 1978 and has restored the estate's reputation for producing world-class wines. Rubicon is an elegant blend of the best parcels and brings out the estate's highest potential. Under the guidance of Philippe Bascaules, Inglenook's Director of Winemaking, Rubicon proudly takes its place alongside much older and revered Inglenook vintages in cellar collections around the world. Visually striking, with its opaque ruby red colour edged in purple, the 2019 Rubicon gradually opens up, revealing notes of blackberry, black cherry and blackcurrant. After further aeration, notes of espresso, clove and blackcurrant bud emerge. On the palate, the tannins are silky and fine, blending with subtle notes of tobacco, liquorice and aniseed.
