Eben Sadie, winemaker from South Africa , in 2000 met the German Dominik Huber, originally from Munich. Their shared passion for wine led them to settle in Priorat, a wonderful land with a unique terroir. Helped by a local winemaker, Jaume Sabate, they buy some abandoned hillsides planted with very old Carignans, at high altitudes around the village of Torroja, in the heart of the Priorat DOC. The first Terroir al Limit wines were produced in 2001. The estate grew gradually. Now alone in charge, Dominik Huber considers the wines produced to be too international, and in 2005 abandons cold pre-fermentation macerations and new barrels, he converts his vineyard to biodynamics, invests in casks and directs his vinifications towards a sustainable approach and towards environmental conservation.
