In 1993 Ken and his wife Teresa moved to the Stellenbosch wine region. They decide to buy the estate (dating from 1964) sold at auction and embark on a major renovation of the estate. In 1994, Ken vinified his first vintage under the Ken Forrester label. The estate is located on the slopes of the Helderberg mountains and has vines dating from 1970. It sets itself the challenge of producing white Chenins wines expressing the magnificent potential of this terroir. Its internationally renowned FMC (Fu**ing Marvelous Chenin ) flagship cuvée marks the success of this desire.
