Hacienda Solano is a family estate in the prestigious Ribera del Duero appellation. The Sarrión family and the Alsatian oenologist Sophie Khün are at the head of this wonderful vineyard. The estate produces exceptional wines on complex and rich terroirs. Here, the vines are located at an altitude of some 1000 metres and in climatic conditions that can be extreme. The winery cultivates old vines, some of which are over a hundred years old, on tiny plots that do not allow for mechanisation. The estate has chosen to work without chemicals or synthetic products, but does not require organic certification. The vinification is done as naturally as possible without any traffic or other oenological make-up. The wines are pure, elegant and marked by the strength of the terroir of the Ribera Del Douero.
