The estate consists of 31 hectares, including around ten Merlot , the plants being around thirty years old. These vines grow on a plot nicknamed Galatrona, in homage to the picturesque medieval tower of the same name, dating from the 10th century. Subsequently, the first written records extolling the praises of the wine region of Tuscany come from Cosimo III de Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany, the first, in 1716, to be promoted by edict, the 4 regions producing great wines. The DOC appellation Val d´Arno di Sopra is one of them. The current Villa was built in the same period by the architect Massimiliano Soldani Benzi. In the 1940s, the estate was bought by the Bazzocchi family, who still today, associated with the Sanjust family by marriage, does everything possible to produce wines of the highest quality, with the greatest respect for the terroir and of the vine. The owners are assisted by oenologists Simone Cuccioli and Carlo Ferrini.
