The history of the estate begins in the 17th century with Antoine and Claudine Grand, who at the time owned a few hectares of vines while practicing mixed farming. In the 1940s, René Grand, Emmanuel's grandfather, converted the estate entirely into viticulture and specialized in the sale of wine in bottles. Then Emmanuel's father and uncles in turn enlarged the estate in the 1970s, reaching a total area of 25 hectares. Emmanuel joined his family in 1997 and vinified Grand wines. His brother Sébastien worked at the Domaine for a few years before finally moving on to another professional career. In 2011, Emmanuel met Nathalie, daughter of Arboisian winegrowers, with whom he shared his life and his passion for vines and wine. Finally, it was in 2015 that Emmanuel and Nathalie created their 11 hectare wine estate which was being converted to organic farming.
