Since 1918, Château Mayne-Vieil has belonged to the Sèze family, who rebuilt the vineyard after the Great War and focused on the production of high quality red wines . Exceptional vineyard of 47 hectares, 32 of which are in the AOC Fronsac area, on a clayey silt hillside with a moderate slope and 15 hectares in the AOC Bordeaux area. The vineyard is grassed. It is thinned out on one side to allow optimal ripening of the grapes. The vineyard is planted with 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc grafted on low vigour rootstock, which is essential for the production of great wines.
