Irish Whiskey

The Irish Whiskey has long been the world's leading whiskey, before being joined by its Scottish cousin in the nineteenth century. Whiskey is characterised by barley dried in a closed furnace, by three distillations and the use of a large still. Light and fruity, Irish whiskeys can be divided into three categories: the pure pot still whiskey (the most traditional among the Irish whiskey, made from malted barley and distilled in a copper still), the single malt whiskey (malt distilled in a copper still) and the single grain whiskey (continuous distillation from grain).
