LEAVE YOUR REVIEWA wine with intense black fruit aromas with hints of sweet spices and liquorice. We noticed that the wine was pleasant and easy to drink thanks to a very good balance and a nice roundness on the palate!
Very good price-performance ratio. On the palate red fruits like cherries, blackberries and plums. Very velvety with few tannins and balanced acidity.
A great visual marketing coup with an original bottle!
The tasting confirms a fine trend with a full-bodied wine with notes of black fruit and a slightly minty pepper finish.
I recommend it with a rib of beef.
On the nose: fully developed, medium intensity, plum, black fruit, liquorice, cooked black fruit, pepper, spicy. On the palate: medium acidity, dry, medium tannins, medium body, medium aftertaste. A good wine.
Given this bottle at a dinner party, opened it straight away, I ordered it too. Very nice bottle, but the content is not bad, ripe red and black fruit on the nose and in the mouth, tried with grilled meat, body present but not too much, I don't know if it could age, at dinner it finished immediately
Château Saint Jean d'Aumières is at the heart of the prestigious Terrasses du Larzac. AOC recognized since June 2014, the Terrasses du Larzac is in fact a terroir known for a long time for the quality of its wines. The first to devote themselves to viticulture were the ancient Romans, then followed by the Benedictine monks who at the turn of the ninth century founded the abbeys of Aniane and Saint-Guilhem-le Désert. On this small terroir, considered one of the best in the world by Robert Mondavi himself (who tried in vain to acquire part of it in the early 2000s), passionate winegrowers produce wines of very high quality, capable of competing with the best wines in the world. Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre are produced, as well as the emblematic Carignan.
