It was in 1970 in the heart of the Noble Valley, on the outskirts of Westhalten and Soultzmatt, that Eric Rominger’s father created the estate. Eric will take over the reins of the estate in 1986 to quickly develop a range of quality wines before turning to organic in 2000, then to Biodynamics in 2008. Strength of character and determination, Eric Rominger and his team develop with commitment, wines of great generosity with total respect for the environment, the land and the vines, limiting the use of phytosanitary products as much as possible. These efforts will allow them to obtain the Déméter label in 2012 by representing with precision, the typicity of the wines of Alsace and in particular through the Grands Crus Saering and Zinnkoepflé located on a majestic south-facing slope culminating at more than 400 m of altitude. Now alone on board, Claudine Rominger Sutter continues with her natural strength to develop her vines and her work in the cellar in Biodynamics, to always give expressive and authentic wines on all of their 12 hectares. Sharing, pleasure and respect for the environment are and always will be the fundamentals of this family home.
