LEAVE YOUR REVIEWAn intensely fruity bouquet, with a harmonious blend of citrus, quince and peach aromas. This wine stands out for its suppleness and freshness, with a fine presence of yellow fruit and well-balanced acidity. It has a pleasantly smooth finish.
As I don't like strong spirits, I drink this wine as an aperitif. It's drunk very chilled and has very pleasant fruity notes. Fruity, light and delicate on the palate, I really enjoy this simple, unpretentious wine.
Intense and rich nose, melon, pear and apricot. Full and rich in the mouth but with good acidity. Surprising this Johannisberg, balanced and harmonious!
Domaine Jean-René Germanier is located in the hamlet of Balavaud in Vétroz in the canton of Valais and covers 60 hectares in AOC Valais. The 40-year-old vines on average benefit from state-of-the-art viticulture that respects the environment. Gilles Besse, the associate oenologist believes that everything happens first in the vineyard. For this reason, he works with the most total respect for his land by sublimating the most beautiful indigenous grape varieties of the region (Fendant, Petite Arvine, Humagne, Cornalin, Syrah and many others...) thus expressing the ultimate quintessence. of this very particular micro-climate: Almost southern sunshine, cool temperatures and protected from icy winds thanks to the imposing alpine massifs. To achieve constant improvement, Jean-René and Gilles have also chosen to reduce the yields of their vines in order to obtain more concentrated wines. Gilles Besse is a curious man who is always working to improve and test new blends. Finally, we will end with a quote from Jean-René Germanier which perfectly sums up the philosophy of the estate: "a winemaker must distinguish himself not by a prestige cuvée produced in confidential quantities but by irreproachable quality across the entire range".
