Very nice aromas that one can immediately identify, like the garrigue, very powerful but silky on the palate, a real complexity. Already a lot of pleasure but a few years will do it a lot of good!
Round on the palate, even silky. Balanced, with discreet aromas of red fruit. This wine should be aired for at least two hours before drinking.
This Pic Saint Loup is a marvel and the quality to price ratio is incredible! This is my favourite Languedoc wine of the last few years. Go for it!
Located in the town of Fontanès, in the heart of the Pic Saint-Loup terroir, the estate covers 32 hectares of vines and benefits from a south/south-east facing terroir, between 125 and 230 meters above sea level, where there is a great interaction between the vegetation, the woods and the vineyards of the estate. The estate team manages the work of the vines and wine on a daily basis, respecting as much as possible the environment and the diversity of grape varieties, 80% of which are black. Thus, since the 2011 harvest, Château la Roque has been certified in organic and biodynamic agricultures, which allows them to make tasty, high-quality wines. "You have to give time, patience and love to the vine to get the best out of it."
