This is the second vintage I've bought, and it's still a real pleasure to go to La Clape with this wine. I love the warmth on the palate with ripe fruit. The finish is no less fresh and balanced.
Located in the Massif de la Clape, facing the Mediterranean, the Château de la Negly vineyard enjoys an exceptional geographical location. The Paux-Rosset family, with the help of the oenologist Mr. Claude Gros, will do everything to put in place a real quality production. This will go through total re-grape varieties, renting out the neighboring estate (the Boède estate, which will be bought out a few years later), but also through completely redesigned vinification. This qualitative policy will therefore lead to a reduction in yields, and to produce very good red and white wines, fine and generous, in the image of this exceptional terroir.
