ERMITAGE - LES DIONNIERES 2018 - FERRATON

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Rhone / Ermitage AOC / 14,5 % vol / 100% Syrah

Biodynamic EU organic farming Demeter EU (biodynamic certification)
'It's still a terrific wine and should drink well for at least two decades.' Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate
This bottle has kept the historical name of the appellation of one of Maison Ferraton's most prestigious cuvées! Indeed, Ermitage Les Dionnieres comes from vines over 30 years old, and is matured for a minimum of 18 months in oak barrels. Cultivated with respect for the soil, the bottle presented here is a brush with perfection: its maturation is evident on the palate, as is a floral aspect, despite the wonderful power in the mouth that is combined with very mellow, integrated tannins. Its length is indescribable! This is superb!

FERRATON PERE ET FILS

The history of the Ferraton estate has grown from generation to generation. It all began in 1946 with Jean Orëns Ferraton, himself the son of a winegrower. He created the estate and bequeathed it to his son Michel, who continued his father's work with the same passion. In 1998, under the guidance and with the help of Michel Chapoutier, a winemaker also retained by Bernard Burtschy, the Ferraton estate embarked on the adventure of organic farming and then that of biodynamics. The general idea is to respect the living in all its forms and to promote harmony between terrestrial and cosmic forces Today, the vineyard extends over the Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph appellations but the purchases of grapes are also made in many appellations, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Cornas, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône, Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Plan-de-Dieu and Tavel. The company's parcel selections deserve a special mention: confidential cuvées of great quality, precision and generosity, witnesses of a truly unique territory.
