LEAVE YOUR REVIEWA superb wine, with a full palate and deep colour. Delicate aromas of red fruits, blackcurrant and blackberry, on the approach, classic for the appellation, and a more delicate floral note at the end of the tasting. Red meat goes perfectly with it and on a cheese board, it is a delight!
Review left on HALF BOTTLE - CHATEAUNEUF-DU-PAPE 2020 - DOMAINE DE LA JANASSEA very fine Châteauneuf du Pape. Beautiful dark colour, lovely raspberry aroma on the nose; on the palate, the wine is powerful and fine, with good length. Appreciable half-bottle format.
A good entry-level Châteauneuf du Pape, the wine is powerful with discreet red fruit aromas, to be left to age for a few years to perfect.
Domaine de la Janasse cultivates about 50 hectares of vines, especially in the appellations of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône and Vin de pays de la Principauté d'Orange. The work in the vineyard is organised in order to obtain the best maturity and concentration of the grapes, but also and above all to obtain the expression of the terroir. Domaine de la Janasse is a family estate where the best care is taken in working the vines and in making great wines. This estate is undoubtedly one of the notable references of the Rhône Valley.
