LEAVE YOUR REVIEWMedium golden yellow, flowers on the nose, some phenolic, vanilla biscuits, marzipan. Acidity precise like a laser beam, much pressure, chilled mineral and almost salty, tempered somewhat full and almost fruity. Long mineral finish.
A buttercup colour. Open nose of ripe yellow lemon. The palate is lively, with good acidity and a superb, streamlined, tracing texture. Impressive length, with a lingering finish of white fruit.
Great Jura from one of the classic producers; great ageing potential, golden yellow, sharp on the nose, mineral and oily in the mouth, with hints of citrus.
Created by Lucien Aviet, legendary figure of Jurassic viticulture, the Caveau de Bacchus is a small estate located in Montiny les Arsures. Lucien and his son Vincent amaze and seduce with their wines with a strong personality imbued with their terroir. They work this small 6 hectare estate with passion, with great respect for the fruit and the processes: work in sustainable control, chasing, digging, scratching, vinification in old-fashioned vats without adding yeast… A very nice discovery to share!
