LEAVE YOUR REVIEWThe crème de la crème of a "simple" village appellation. Rich, round, buttery... A very gourmet wine with good ageing potential due to its complexity. A real treat!
Review left on MEURSAULT DU CHATEAU 2020 - CHÂTEAU DE MEURSAULTA gourmet Meursault with its little notes of hazelnut, we served it with a salmon tart, it was absolutely perfect!
The Château de Meursault is a piece of history, its origin dates back to the 11th century. Its wine-growing part was only developed in the 19th century by the Serre family. Since then, it has been a mecca for tourism and Burgundian folklore, since every year the famous Paulée is celebrated there the day after the sale of the Hospices de Beaune. The estate was bought in 2012 by Olivier Halley, a descendant of a pioneer of large retailers, the Boisseaux family remaining the owner of the 60 hectare vineyard, 23 of which are first growths. The estate offers a wide range of appellations from the Côte de Beaune: Pommard, Puligny, Savigny, Beaune, Meursault...
