What a wonderful expression of the grape variety! Magnificent, seductive, intoxicating aromas. Elegant on the palate, with an excellent balance between texture, body and well-educated tannins, underpinned by fine acidity.
The Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona estate is located in the municipality of Montalcino in the middle of the gentle hills of Tuscany. A family estate since 1983. Today managed by Paolo Bianchini and his sister Lucia. They produce very high quality wines in cooperation with the oenologist Paolo Vagaggini. 40 hectares of vines are planted in schist and marl soils. The estate has a solid reputation as a specialist in the Brunello appellation. Most of the estate's vineyards are planted with Sangiovese clones, but French grape varieties Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon are also grown here.
