A nice discovery for this sparkling wine from a domain I already know well. A nice balance between the sweetness and acidity of the brut. Fine and light bubbles and a contained alcohol level. What else ?
Review left on PILAHO 2021 - DOMAINE PELLEHAUTA real fruity character, fine bubbles and a low alcohol level, everything is perfect and to open without hesitation for any occasion. To be enjoyed rather quickly.
The Château de Pellehaut, built in the 18th century, faces the Pyrenees. It is located in the Ténarèze (name of a Roman road), on the edge of Bas-Armagnac, and therefore has a wide variety of terroirs. On the slopes of the Château de Pellehaut, more than 180m from altitude, the vineyard benefits from an ideal terroir and maximum sunshine. Protected by the Pyrenees mountains, the Gers also benefits from relatively low summer rainfall.
