LEAVE YOUR REVIEWThis Bergerac is perfect for every day. It goes equally well with meat and cheese. Notes of red fruits in a subtle harmony at a low price.
Beautiful red to ruby colour, ripe black fruits, good attack and length on the palate. Rather a nice Bergerac for everyday wine. Drink within 3 years
Classic YES, and 2019 is a good year. Long on the palate, it makes a great everyday wine and pairs well with many bourgeois cuisine dishes.
On the nose, ripe red fruit, raspberries, redcurrants, something rustic, vanilla, herbal. On the palate, dry, medium acidity, medium tannin, well integrated, medium-high persistence.
It has been the historic property of the Castaing family since its creation in 1898. The vineyard extends over 52 hectares of hills and plateaus south of Bergerac. It offers a variety of grape varieties such as: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon for red and rosé wines; Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle for the white wines.
