A very nice bottle with a beautiful philosophy! Ripe grapes and good work in the cellar give this wine full of energy on black fruits and liquorice with beautiful tannins.more reviews

Dream and dare to try this cuvée - you won’t find it elsewhere. It’s the challenge taken up by Bertrand and Vincent.
Utopie from Bertrand and Vincent. Organic cultivation, minimal environmental impact - recyclable materials, no cap seal and returnable bottles - and makers of the best wine in the world! In making this wine, they wanted to create a perfect wine with nutty aromas and a fleshy attack. The palate is structured with a very lovely length. It will pair very well with a grilled red meat.

Rich, evolving N: dark fruit, ripe cherry, clove, rose petal, banana peel. Whiffs of baking spices, herbs. P: med.bodied, sleek. Moderate acidity, very smooth & peppery tannins. Bold enough for CF, no depth though. Bitter & caramel touch on exit. Peppery aftertaste. Interesting face of the grape.

The red wine of the summer. A wine that is both fluid and crisp. Everything is crisp in this wine: the red fruit, the red pepper, the tannins... A real pleasure wine for summer refreshment.

The utopia of making the best wine in the world turns into reality: a good wine! Peposo, crisp, young. Nice idea to entice the customer to be greener

A real little one from the Marchesseau brothers. A very good Bourgueil to enjoy with red meat. A wine for pleasure, light and fruity. A very successful 100% Cabernet franc.

Bertrand & Vincent MARCHESSEAU

Bertrand and Vincent Marchesseau took over the family estate in 2001. The estate has the particularity of being located in three appellations: Bourgueil (14 ha), Chinon (5 ha) and St Nicolas de Bourgueil (3 ha). The roles on the estate are well defined: vineyard work and vinification for Bertrand, maturing and trading for Vincent. Their differences allow them to be perfectly complementary and to bring together all the qualities that are essential to the winegrowing profession. Their philosophy in a few words: "...to know how to dare; but the difficulty is to dare with wisdom... Dare... organic farming. Our production philosophy is based on the search for constant quality thanks to a certain level of requirement, a permanent questioning, a rigorous work on the vineyard (analysis and work of the soil, grassing, thinning, leaf removal, sorting...), and this in the respect of the environment. From this point of view, organic farming is an obvious choice. The Bourgueil, Chinon and St Nicolas de Bourgueil appellations are produced from a single grape variety, Cabernet Franc. We produce different cuvées according to the terroir: "Roc' Collection" from clay-limestone slopes, "Funambule" on stony islands, "Poids plume" and "Rosé Shadocks" from gravel-sand terraces; with strong visual identities that make a lasting impression.
