LEAVE YOUR REVIEWConsistently excellent Chalonnaise. Checks all the boxes that you expect from a Burgundian chardonnay in this price range. Better value than chardonnay from further north.
A classic of the appellation that never disappoints. Expressive and endowed with a beautiful density, this is a Mercurey Villages that has nothing to envy the Premier Crus!
He has all the makings of a great man! Worthy of a 1er cru! All it lacks is the ability to express itself and assert its fruity Chardonnay aromas, while at the same time bringing out the liveliness without overshadowing its sumptuous flavours. A delight!
The Domaine Château de Chamirey, planted in the best terroirs of Mercurey, includes 37 hectares - 27 hectares of reds and 10 hectares of whites - including 15 hectares of Premiers Crus. The Domaine du Château de Chamirey has large plots in 6 Premiers Crus de Mercurey which make up almost half of its area. It exclusively owns the Premier Cru "Les Ruelles", in red and the Premier Cru "La Mission", in white. The 37 hectares of the Domaine, including 15 hectares in Premiers Crus, are planted at 10,000 vines per hectare, according to the Burgundian tradition. The vines are cultivated in a sustainable manner with limited use of treatment products. The average age of the estate's vines is 35 years.
