LEAVE YOUR REVIEWI have always been a great lover of Louis Chèze's wines! Their Saint-Jo is astonishing and superb, in the prestige cuvée (40 year old vines), this one offers an explosion of red fruits, a frank attack and a full and fleshy body!
I know a lot of Saint-Josephs, but this one is top notch. I had the opportunity to visit the Domaine de Chèze, it is magnificent! I recommend it without hesitation.
Behind its big muscles, this Saint-Joseph hides its game well; it's an aromatic, fruity wine that's not devoid of elegance. What's more, it's low in alcohol for a better tomorrow.
A smooth red wine with a good aroma. It's always good to try different wines and this one doesn't disappoint. I look forward to other special occasions to try new wines and champagnes. Excellent service. I highly recommend it.
Taking over the family estate in 1978, Louis Chèze only owned one hectare of Saint-Joseph at the beginning of his career with a few rented vines. Today, the estate has become one of the most beautiful in the northern Rhône with its 30 hectares of carefully studied and wonderfully maintained vines. Situated on the right bank of the Rhône, the exceptional terroir of Seyssuel is a favourite place for Syrah, which, in the hands of the winegrower, produces the best of itself. With Louis Chèze, each vintage is a challenge to extract the quintessence of the terroirs that nature offers him.
