LEAVE YOUR REVIEWCristal cleen wine in the glass. The nose: explosively intense aromas of exotic and citrus fruits. Characteristic of the variety in tasted, guava, apricots, green apples and refreshing minerality.
A really refreshing wine with very balanced acidity and flavours I first tried it in Rick Stein's restaurant and found it at an excellent price here I bought a lot and will buy more
Excellent served this lunchtime for the Christmas meal. We opened it around the foie gras and our guests enjoyed it very much and asked for more! We recommend it without hesitation.
Review left on DOMAINE HORGELUS - GROS-MANSENG & SAUVIGNON 2021I find the GROS-MANSENG & SAUVIGNON from DOMAINE HORGELUS from the 2022 vintage even better than the 2021. An absolute "must" on our wine shelf.
I bought a bottle a few months ago to try it out and was amazed by the quality and goodness at a very low price. In fact I ordered a carton and am waiting for it to arrive. EXCELLENT!!
Excellent dry white wine. Gros-Maseng: symbol of Gascony and its terroir. Very good paired with Sauvignon. To be appreciated with fish and seafood.
Wine of excellent enthusiasm characterised by floral and peach melba scents, excellent on the palate! Top for a wine of this quality, I will soon buy more because it must not be missing from my cellar!
Blend of gros manseng and Sauvignon de la cotes de Gascogne, the nose is dominated by the notes of Sauvignon, green apple, in the mouth it has a fiery acidity, pleasant
A delicate white wine, light on the palate and refined with floral notes and a hint of grapefruit. Surprising but very pleasant for a successful aperitif.
Interesting assemblage, colour and bouquet almost foreshadowing the stretch of acidity, grapefruit and lime, and the slight minerality.
A well assembled wine, an interesting price, a more masculine than feminine trait.
Excellent value for money with multiple purchases, light and fruity with grapefruit and lemon citrus flavours and apricot aftertaste
To be repurchased
An aperitif wine, citrusy, fresh, you can smell the peach, the pineapple, to drink alone or with snacks, very low price only on vinatis, to buy
Acidity and aromas make this wine a good product. Pleasant to the taste, to accompany not too elaborate fish dishes. Fruity notes on the nose with a prevalence of citrus fruits. Interesting price
Always excellent served as an aperitif or with fish or seafood. It is fruity, floral, light, very pleasant and is a favourite with guests.
I was not familiar with the product and bought it intrigued by the comments and encouraged by an ongoing promotion. Classic flavour with a final hint of 'pepper' which I tried with spaghetti with clams, satisfied
Classic wine, less sweet, unpretentious, mineral touch, a little citrus too, excellent value for money. Perfect for aperitif meetings.
Still as good as ever, this Sauvignon - Gros Manseng. A particularly successful blend that perfectly combines citrus aromas and acidity. A must have in your cellar at all times!
A demanding wine for tannin lovers. Will accompany any type of dish but also very well as a red wine after a meal or cheese. Best served chilled.
Very similar to its younger brother (colombard-sauvignon) but I found it more decisive in its aromatic notes and also in its taste, as well as being perfect as an aperitif, it can serenely accompany fried seafood and not too demanding first courses
A fairly rare blend, but very drinkable and pleasant. Tropical fruits combined with good acidity make it excellent on summer evenings. At the price offered then, it is a bomb.
Horgelus White. Very good, friendly, to be drunk with friends.
A sure value with an unbeatable quality to price ratio! Exotic fruit aromas, freshness and a well-balanced roundness, a wine to always have in your cellar.
Big discovery: Gros Manseng.
A fruity wine, with a very clear dominance of exotic fruits (grapefruit, lemon). When you don't know this grape variety...it is surprising...and very pleasant!
It is a fruity and balanced wine, in short very pleasant, and goes well with many dishes. Good quality to price ratio. I highly recommend it. Good tasting
An aperitif wine as enjoyed: fresh, lively, easy-drinking, fruity. And a good quality to price ratio! A pleasant wine to drink with friends, a wine of sunshine. Can accompany a fish meal.
It is a wine that makes pairing very easy. It is not excessively powerful, but it is fruity. When drunk very cold it loses some nuances, but it is a more than adequate wine.
I had tried other previous vintages, always pleasant, aromas of fruit, citrus and exotic not quite ripe, pleasant in the mouth, the low alcohol content makes it a pleasant wine to drink, ideal as an aperitif or light first course.
At the first sip, you are projected into the Landes of Gascony, then you encounter its maritime pines, tread on the fine ocean sand, cool off in the calm ponds... this is a fragrant, sublime wine, with which the senses travel... with gorgonzola it is the apotheosis!
I have just received this wine as an aperitif, surprisingly fruity and not too sweet. Very good quality to price ratio. I should have ordered more
Excellent value for money, this blend is very fragrant and intense, but its strong point for me remains its aromaticity. For the price paid, amazing. I recommend it!
Very good discovery for a very attractive price/pleasure ratio. Ideal as an aperitif to be served chilled, this wine is not too dry. The fruity note is very present.
The Sauvignon in question, besides sporting a beautiful label, with a nice heavy glass bottle, is a decidedly aromatic wine that pairs well with various sushi and Asian, spicy or exotic foods. On subsequent tastings, the mineral side and structure of this wine also emerged.
A very fruity-dry wine that tastes wonderful iced on balmy summer evenings. One of my favourites, also a pleasure with asparagus.
A very pleasant discovery on opening. The nose is fine and gourmet, and the tasting confirms that this is a pleasant wine as an aperitif, combining freshness and roundness.
I discovered this wine from Horgelus even though I'd already heard of "le bal des papillons". It's a nice surprise that this wine is drier than the previous one, and I recommend it!
Minerality, fruit, acidity. An excellent quality-price wine, ideal to accompany fish dishes or even vegetarian food. At this price you will hardly find anything as good.
An aromatic explosion. A wine to drink with friends or family as an aperitif, it will surprise many. We even continued the meal with it. Quite simply a delight!
A captivating wine, simple and, at the same time, profound. For aperitifs, meals or just to accompany a moment of the day of meditation or conviviality, it is always welcome.
A pleasant discovery, this Gros Manseng-Sauvignon. Very tangy and mineral, it's perfect as an aperitif. I'll be recommending it for testing with sushi.
Very aromatic, fresh and fruity. Excellent with white fish and seafood.
A surprising wine for those of us who usually drink reds.
Domaine Horgelus confirms the ability to produce intriguing wines at a price that makes the domaine among the best in terms of quality-price. A perfect balance of mineral and exotic fruit notes. A perfect wine to pair with seafood dishes.
Excellent value for money, easy but drinkable wine, not too structured. To be drunk chilled with simple food, cured meats and local cheeses. Approved
The fruitiness of these two grape varieties is characteristic of the region. Served chilled as an aperitif, it will delight everyone with fish spreads.
Excellent full-bodied wine with a velvety finish. Aromatic with notes of black currants, vanilla plums and black chocolate, spices and oak. Finish with lingering hints of pepper and liquorice. Good acidity that goes well with grilled red meat or succulent, spicy food
An excellent wine as a chilled aperitif or with a fish dish. I loved the aroma of this rather dry white wine. I recommend it for sharing with friends.
A superb wine that I recommend!
Goes very well as an aperitif with seafood or foie gras!
A really interesting touch of citrus on the palate.
Superb value for money
An immense pleasure with a nose of grapefruit! It's a very fragrant wine with a fairly long palate, a real discovery that I'd recommend again.
Another excellent Domaine Horgelus wine, which always surprises at low prices. Fruity and an aperitif but not only that, perfect with fish and cheese but discreet even with dessert. I will definitely buy it again.
This wine is a good combination of acidity with mineral notes and a decidedly fruity aftertaste worthy of a good Sauvignon.
It has a fairly firm and aromatic finish.
An easy-drinking bottle.
Despite being a sort of older brother, it is less interesting - and intriguing - than the Colombard/Sauvignon pairing: perhaps the majority share of Sauvignon makes the bottle just a little over-aromatic; but freshness and savouriness balance everything out, and the q/p ratio is truly excellent.
A wine with a well-balanced blend of Manseng and Sauvignon with good persistence and a very pleasant bouquet, good sapidity and a nice colour I recommend it.
Fruity wine with a beautiful colour, even the bottle and label has a nice presence excellent value for money, we accompanied it with an impepata di cozze, wine really recommended
A great classic and above all a safe bet for me. This wine is as good as ever and it's one of my favourites when I have guests at home who love a good bottle of sweet white wine.
It never fails to impress one how modestly one can buy a palatable white wine in France. The wine is a joy to drink and, apart from seafood, accompanies everything that white wine can accompany ...
A nice little sweet, not too sweet, it can be drunk in summer as well as in winter, with a good meal or as an aperitif.
A great discovery for a very attractive quality to price ratio. Ideal as an aperitif, served chilled, with a fruity note. Pleasant grapefruit flavour.
A wine to have in your cellar. Fruity and fragrant, perfect for summer. I drink it for aperitifs but also with shellfish and parmesan cheese. To recommend
For Sauvignon lovers, this wine is easy to love. A wine that can accompany any dish at any time of day. Very good!
A wine that for me goes well after a meal, a little too sweet for savoury but probably better with dessert, I would probably pair it with dry pastries.
An excellent blend of Sauvignon and Gros Manseng. Aromas of citrus fruit, peach and pineapple; light acidity, sweet but not too sweet to leave room for the fruit. A must have in your cellar!
This wine was the discovery of the summer! It accompanied aperitifs and fish dinners all summer long with friends and family; it was unanimously appreciated, especially at this price! A wine ordered a second time in quantity
The quality to price ratio is unbeatable. The addition of Gros Manseng and Sauvignon makes for an extremely aromatic wine with a delicate, subtle back palate that is also very present on the palate. This is the second time I've bought this wine and I'm as satisfied as ever.
A dry, fruity white wine with notes of citrus and exotic fruit.
As the wine is rather acidic, it could even be served with dessert.
A very pleasant all-round white.
Excellent! I highly recommend it. A lively but very floral wine with citrus notes and a strong white peach flavour. It goes with everything. I would certainly recommend it at this price.
An open nose with white and citrus notes. Dry but not too dry, very fruity on the palate, with plenty of citrus fruit. Tasted with a plancha; it was perfect.
A classic from my cellar. I buy it every year.
Exceptional quality to price ratio.
Incredibly fresh from aperitif to dessert.
A direct wine, like the scents of green musk and cat urine typical of Sauvignon, but less pronounced than the Italian whites of Friuli and high agid, soft on the palate, for those who want to approach this grape variety, this wine is a good start
Very light wine, exotic fruits, citrus notes and a slight minerality, certainly good value for money but one cannot have high expectations. Excellent as an aperitif and in combination with not too elaborate fish dishes.
Excellent value for money, yet another affordable gem from this producer that never ceases to amaze. Fresh, fruity but not overly so, excellent for aperitifs or at the end of a meal
Very good value for money. Enjoyed as an aperitif with friends. A delicate wine that goes just as well with shellfish or fish as it does with cheese.
The first tasting of this bottle was a real surprise: a delightful blend of the freshness of the Sauvignon grape and the typical aromas of Gros Manseng, a perfect wine for an aperitif or to accompany white meats or fish.
Exceptional.
A remarkable taste, whether chilled or at room temperature.
Serve as a starter or as an aperitif, this wine will delight you with its light taste.
A lively, fresh, crisp wine that goes perfectly with rich dishes. Its lemony note on the palate works wonders with a cake of chocolate pancakes and chocolate pastry. A pure moment of happiness guaranteed.
Excellent fruitiness on the palate. I'm enjoying it more and more. I recommend it either as a simple aperitif or as an accompaniment to a game terrine or a good foie gras.
A sure-fire winner that was unanimously acclaimed! Grape varieties that reveal a distinctive flavour typical of white wines from Gascony. A must-try, just like the other domaine wines.
A lovely combination for this sweet, light wine; serve as an aperitif or for a sweet note with dessert. Personally, I prefer it chilled as an aperitif.
A pleasant wine on the palate with sweet notes. A wine I had never tasted before and which took me by surprise.
A real pleasure as an aperitif and I highly recommend it.
A real pleasure as an aperitif. I highly recommend it. You will also enjoy it with white meat. With fish, Sauvignon Blanc will also bring out the best in all types of fish.
I loved this generous white wine, which was very surprising at first for its freshness and fruit aromas, marked by citrus fruits and notes of island fruits, a harmonious and elegant wine, a sure value. A very successful and simple wine.
I discovered this wine in a restaurant and was delighted by its fruity aromas and delicate palate. It goes perfectly with fish or white meats. I liked it so much that I searched on the internet to buy some. Very good value for money.
Who wouldn't want to buy a top quality wine at a more than reasonable price? Here it is! Light, refreshing, floral and herbaceous but with a depth of tropical fruit... the Domaine Horgelus never disappoints my expectations. Keep it in mind.
Sublime white wine with character. I tried it in the batch with the damaged label. A good opportunity to be tempted. I would recommend it without hesitation.
A lovely, aromatic, well rounded white wine, very pleasant as an aperitif. Drink well chilled, with the lovely white flower flavours so typical of south-western whites.
A product that offers excellent value for money. Drink it as an aperitif or with white meat; its colour and aromas will surprise fans of the Côtes de Gascogne.
On the sunny slopes of Gascony, in the heart of the South-West, Domaine Horgelus continues to seduce with its pleasure wines accessible to the greatest number of people, taking the greatest care to preserve the aromas in the wines, and limiting at most all forms of oxidation of musts and wines, the result is fruity and the freshness of the wines is enchanting. Here is an area that has not finished talking about it!
