The second wine of Pape Clement. It is very good. Be careful, I let it air for 2 hours before serving. Still in its youth, it is very silky, with a magnificent woody taste enhanced by black fruits. It is excellent.
Great wine, I enjoyed it and so did my friends! I think I'll be ordering again for the festive season and other occasions.
With its vineyard established in the 13th century, Château Pape-Clément is the flagship of Bernard Magrez's vineyards and is clearly one of the oldest Grands Crus in Bordeaux. To create these immense wines, archetypes of the great, luxury Bordeaux wines, nothing is left to chance - optimal grape ripening, hand destalking, highly curated ageing and so on. The result is distinctive red for the Pessac-Léognan appellation with a sensuality close to that of Mission Haut-Brion wines. And white wines with an exemplary finesse.
